Congratulations! You have received an invitation to the 2020 Titan iOS World Cup, the first iPad tournament of its size. It was an idea suggested by Tobbe (tobbe73), and quickly supported by Steve (awake96), David (phelpsahoy), and Fredrik (daddaminoo). As your tournament committee, our primary goal has always been for this to be a fun, enjoyable way to engage and challenge many of the top Titan players in the world. We began the discussion back in May and went round and round with various aspects, especially the format, ultimately deciding on one that will require the different skill sets needed to succeed in 2-player, 3-player, and 4-player games. Although we enjoy 5-player and 6-player games, after much discussion we decided against these because they would probably take too long and would slow the tournament down. We are playing for pride only -- no money. Please read the tabs at the bottom of the attached Google Sheet. They have important information about the rules, etiquette, format, instructions, and matchups. Our two main requests are: 1) be nice, and 2) play as quickly as you reasonably can. We all have life challenges, but if we can prioritize tournament games over other games, and make our moves within 12-24 hours whenever possible, this will keep the tournament moving at an enjoyable pace and enable us to complete all rounds in a reasonable time frame, whatever that might be. Please let us know if any players in your group appear to be unresponsive, and we will do our best to follow up. (Sometimes mass emails get caught in spam filters.) Also, as a first-time committee, we certainly welcome feedback and suggestions -- just send us a (not too harsh) email. Good luck!

| Player Inclusion |

The top 60+ players were invited, with a goal of 48 players to participate. Rankings were locked on 08/06/20, the day that the last of 44 participants was confirmed. These were used to determine the seeding. The tournament begins on 08/10/20.

| Record Keeping | |
|
Keep in mind that the tournament committee will not have access to your games (unless we are in them), so it is very important that all game results be reported accurately and promptly. This includes second and third and fourth place finishes (and ties) in multi-player games, as these will be used for scores and tiebreakers that will determine advancement. Specific instructions for this are included in the "Instructions" tab.

| Disputes | |
|
In case of any disputes, If any player on the committee is directly or indirectly involved, the other 3 resolve the dispute. If none of the committee members are involved, the 3 who first answer the question decide (so as to avoid a 2-2 decision). If 2 from the committee are involved, the other 2 plus a chosen player outside the committee (Taishi_Ci) decides. If 3 from the committee are involved, the last of the committee decides. If all in the commitee are involved, a chosen player outside the committee (Taishi_Ci) decides. "Indirectly involved" means playing in the same group as the disputed game, or having a conflict of interest, such as a friendship with one of the players involved.

| Privacy | |
|
We will use blind carbon copy emails so that players' email addresses will remain private. We would like to include each player's first name and nationality, but these are optional. Let us know if you want this information included or not. All players will have "View Only" access to this spreadsheet, but only the committee members will be able to publish updates of game results and other information. Please do not change your username during the tournament, as this will complicate the record keeping.

| A player who finished 2nd in his Group may receive a higher Round 2 seed than a player who finished 1st in his Group. |
